Whether you hang them from your tree or place them in your tablescape, homemade candy hearts are a sweet way to decorate for the holidays. No two are alike, and they're adorable too.

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spray the inside of your heart shaped cookie cutter with cooking spray.

Place the cutter on the baking tray. Fill the inside of the cookie cutter with two layers of mini candy canes. Break them into smaller pieces to fit together.

Bake at 350 degrees for 5 to 10 minutes, checking often.

When the candy canes have completely melted, remove the pan and let cool.

When the cookie cutters are completely cool to the touch, carefully remove the candy from the cutter.
