Natural fibers, like burlap, take glue well, so the stocking will hold up when stuffed with Santa treats.
Create a pattern to get the exact shape you want. Draw a stocking shape on brown craft paper or a paper bag and then cut it out.
Fold the burlap fabric in half, pretty side to pretty side, and place the stocking paper pattern on top. Trace the pattern onto the fabric using the fabric pen.
Remove the pattern and pin the fabric together. Cut the shape halfway through both layers.
Remove the top of the burlap and run a bead of glue on the edge of the burlap. Place the other piece of burlap on top and press down around the edge. Remember to leave the lid open. Allow enough time for the glue to dry.
When dry, turn the stocking clockwise and fold down the cuff. Now you can embellish it however you want.
Use a piece of tape for the cutout by sticking it around the edge of the bracelet.
Create a loop to hang the stocking with a two-inch piece of ribbon. Glue the bow to the inside of the stocking.
Let the glue dry and ready to hang..
