Plain cotton stockings are typically sold at craft stores. But if you want to make your own, download this handy pattern and follow the basic instructions.
Insert aluminum foil in the middle of your stocking. This will prevent the glue from spilling to the other side of the stocking.
Open a bag of pom poms and prepare the fabric glue.
Apply a generous amount of fabric glue to a small area of the stocking. Start placing the pom poms in the glue, covering the entire surface.
Continue attaching pom poms until you have all of the glue covered. Repeat this process until you have covered the entire front of the stocking.
Let the stocking dry completely. Due to the amount of glue used, you will probably need at least 24 hours.
An alternative to filling the entire stocking is to create a monogram or single initial. Simply apply the glue to the shape of your initial pom poms and position accordingly.
