Summer is here (finally!) and the evenings can get longer a bit outside. Here is an instruction manual for making very pretty candle holders, also called tealight holders, with recycled materials and a little imagination.
Nothing is prettier than candle flames that glow in the dark:no need to spend a fortune for this. I'm going to explain how to make candle holders that will light up your summer evenings.
The Material
• I carefully keep the glass yoghurt jars and other dessert creams that my children love:there are several heights and several diameters , mixing them is not a problem.
• I also keep my leftover nail polish :a bottom of a few millimeters is enough!
• I steal a thin brush in my little one's kit.
• Lemongrass tealight candles known for its mosquito repellent effects, perfect for useful and pleasant ties (€7.70 for 25 on Amazon)
The Stages
1. I wash glass jars well.
2. I decorate them according to my inspiration using the brush dipped in the remains of varnish, varying the colors and the patterns , or completely covering the surface depending on the effect I want to achieve.
3. I let it dry, then I place at the bottom of each pot a tealight candle (sold in bags of 50 or 100 in stores like Ikea, Gifi, la Farfouille, etc., for less than €10 per hundred).
4. I arrange the candle holders that I have created everywhere on the table, or along the balcony, or on the edges of the windows to compose a bouquet or arabesques of light , all in different colors.
