A canvas drop cloth makes a great outdoor table cover:it's durable, heavy enough to withstand a strong breeze, and easy to wash. Just paint in a pattern and you have the start of a great picnic.
Measure three inches from the edge of the fabric and mark with a pencil, then continue making marks every three inches all the way down the fabric. Align then tape along the pencil marks.
Continue pulling the fabric out of the drop until it is completely covered in a checkerboard pattern.
Spread the drop cloth out in a well-ventilated area. Start in one corner and spray each square with whitewash spray paint, making sure to fill in the squares completely.
Fill in alternate squares with the lime paint. Spray the remaining squares with black paint.
Let the paint dry completely, at least 6-8 hours, before using the tablecloth.
