Add a simple hanging hook to the back of the wooden wreath shape.
Draw three or four flower petal shapes on cardboard. Cut out the shapes and then use them as templates to trace more petals onto the cardboard, so you'll have several of each size. Make about 28 to 32 pieces total; Place them around the ring to make sure you have enough.
Attach the cardboard petals to the back of the fabric, and then trace the shape onto the fabric. Cut out the petal shapes from the fabric, leaving about 1/4" around the outside edge.
Glue the back of the fluff fabric to the cardboard. Let the lint slightly overlap the sides of the cardboard.
Glue the fabric-covered cardboard petals to the crown ring. Randomly place the petals and let them overlap each other. The inside edge of the ring may show a bit because you'll be covering it with buttons.
We use purple buttons to create an inner border on our crown. Glue the largest buttons first and then the smaller buttons on top to give it a more complete look. Leave a small section open to place the bow (we set our bow slightly to one side).
Extend the ribbon, leaving a long piece for the first tail, and then create the desired number of loops. Pull the loops into a small bunch and bunch them up with your hands. Tie another piece of ribbon around it to keep the loops secure. Hot glue that section to the wooden ring, then cut off the extra tape.
