Put a surprise in each roll and close them by gluing a cardboard washer to the end. Glue golden stars numbered on each washer (found at Cultura).

Very original tree made with pine cones !
And simple to make too. Pick up a big bag of pine cones during a pleasant walk in the forest. Then make a rigid paper cone on which you will glue your pine cones. That's it!
Tell me in the comments how many envious people will have raved about your pretty decorations!
If you buy a ready-made cardboard tree, it will cost you around 13 € 41 (indicative price at Amazon). Might as well save it by cutting it out of recycled cardboard, don't you think?
