There is nothing like a beautiful crown to dress the door of your house. Seasonal changes and holidays present new opportunities to hang a wreath. If the price of "personalized" wreaths has kept you from hanging one, have no fear. You can make one for a fraction of the cost of those fancy custom crowns you see at craft stores.

Tuck the Moss
Debbie Wolfe
This part is messy, so be sure to line your work surface with newsprint or craft paper. The moss will probably be compacted in the package. When you take it out of the package, give it a shake and scoop out small sections of the moss. Tuck the moss under some of the vine branches. There is no need to glue any moss at this point. Work your way around the wreath shape until the moss is evenly distributed. Leave some of the vine visible.
Add more moss

Once you have the base layer of moss tucked into the vine nicely, it's time to add more texture. Glue the smaller pieces of moss on top of the base layer. Fill and stuff it into small cracks. This will give the crown more depth and interest.
Add accessories

This is where the fun begins. Add acorns, leaves, and mini pumpkins around the crown. You can place the pieces randomly or evenly, you really can't go wrong. Swap out the acorns for mini pinecones and the pumpkin for dried flowers. There are so many ways to customize this wreath to match your decor and style.
