We found two old boxes at a salvage store and turned them into a pair of bathroom mirrors. This easy project requires no power tools and takes only a couple of hours.
Take the box to a glass store and have them cut the mirror to the exact size of the box. Make sure they mark the side that is facing up as some vintage boxes may be a slightly different size. Use a lightweight glass mirror.
Attach picture hanging hardware to the back of the wooden boxes. Make sure they are strong enough to hold the weight of the box and mirror. Also, make sure that the screws do not protrude inside the box where the mirror will be glued. Try putting the screws into the sides of the box.
Spread adhesive glue on the back of the mirror. Put the mirror in the box. Place a towel over the mirror and something heavy to help hold the mirror in place while the glue dries. Let dry 24 hours..
Cut pieces of string to fit around the inside edge of the box, covering the edge of the mirror. Glue in place with a hot glue gun.
