My grandmother gave me a super effective tip for cleaning a water stain on wood.
The natural treatment against rings is a mixture of white vinegar and olive oil . Watch:
- White vinegar
- Olive Oil
- 2 cloths
1. In a bowl, mix equal parts white vinegar and olive oil.
2. Dip a rag into the mixture.
3. Run it over the water stain in the direction of the grain of the wood.
4. Let dry well.
5. Pass the dry cloth over it.
Lo and behold, the water stain is now completely gone :-)
Simple, fast and efficient, right?
And it's much more economical than buying a renovator to clean and maintain the wood.

White vinegar rids the wood of all its dirt.
Thanks to its acidity, it is an effective cleaner and will act on the wood in depth.
Olive oil nourishes the wood and allows it to be polished so that it regains a uniform appearance.
- First test on an inconspicuous part of your furniture. To do this, dampen a cloth with your cleaning solution. And run it over the wood. If no problem appears, then you can treat the wood with this mixture.
- Do not wet your cloth too much. Otherwise too much water could seep into the wood and damage it. Just moisten it to have an effective action. If the cloth is too wet, wring it out thoroughly.
- Always dilute white vinegar before using it on wood. Otherwise, it can leave traces and the acidity can damage the wood.
- No need to overdo your wood lotion. You only need a little bit.
- Do not use this solution on painted wood. The acidity of white vinegar can damage wood finishes.
- If your furniture is old, consult a specialist before starting.
