Shrinking your sweaters isn't always a bad thing, especially when it results in some fingerless gloves. In addition to the tools and materials listed above, you'll also need access to a washer and dryer.
I felt your wool sweater. To do this, wash it in hot water with a little detergent and then dry it on high heat. This makes the fibers bind to themselves so they don't come apart.
Fold the bracelet down. To create a hole for your thumb, cut a 1-inch horizontal slit through both sleeve layers, about 2 inches below the top of the cuff. Do this for both sleeves. Try them out to make sure the thumb hole is the correct size and is positioned correctly.
With the thumbholes facing the correct direction, decorate the top of the gloves. Sew scraps of fabric together and add embroidery floss and any other embellishments. Immerse yourself in your cozy creation and show off your handiwork.
