The cuts are too far from the carpenter or too far. In the first case, healing is almost impossible and the carpenter is weakened. In the second case, the "little piece" of the remaining branch, the snag, will dry out and become a source of infection with rot, bacteria...
All of this can be avoided with my tips for pruning a plane tree mulberry.
