Rose stings, danger! Pruning the rose requires wearing gloves. But, aside from boxing or baseball gloves, the thorn often finds its way to the finger, cutting through leather, cotton or latex.
I have a little something :if the right hand carries the pruner, the left holds a pickle tong ! Pinching the branch before pruning avoids accidentally squeezing a hard and straight thorn without pity for the dermis!
