It's true that it's February and that we're in the heart of winter, which has been long overdue, but hey, that doesn't prevent us from remembering the garden work in February, which is in fact a few safety rules.
The wind mingling with the cold and the snow:check the winter sails, think that potted plants are very sensitive at their roots, make snow fall from greenhouses, branches, bushes... The weight can do damages. Put balls of fat for the birds, with seeds of any size, break the ice so they can drink, do not turn the frozen earth (plus, it's hard to do!), do not put salt to thaw the garden, it's a good weedkiller! (Watch out for impermeable surfaces, salt can "run off" to planted areas.) Put on gloves and best of all, stay warm!
The buttocks on the cast iron radiator, the pleading on the knees, the cat on it, a good book, a Vivaldi concerto, a herbal tea of thyme with chestnut honey, and the telephone unplugged... that's real life. Finally, to spend the winter…
