As mentioned, I recently got a wooden hummingbird and a wooden buffalo in my house. Very nicely carved wall decoration of -in my case- birch wood. I love it. The cut-out animals exude simplicity due to the geometric shape and give the wall a fixed upgrade.
The wall where this hummingbird hangs was empty at first. It is a wall in our office with a radiator at the bottom. The wall is a thick meter wide but also runs right against the frame. So no place to put a cupboard or something like that. There is, however, a large Dracaena in that spot, right in front of the large window, which partly falls against the wall. And actually I was not specifically looking for wall decoration for this wall, but now that I have the wooden hummingbird hanging I think it looks a lot nicer. What do you think?
And then our teenager's room. It's made a lot of progress since I painted the scrap ceiling there white, and I flung white on the wall, but it's certainly not finished yet. It's really just a boring room, but if I ask Luc, he doesn't really care. He says. Yet he is very clear in his compliments when I have added something to his room, such as the wooden buffalo that has come to hang on the wall. A typical man, he doesn't actually look at anything but secretly likes it when it's done for him.
His room was basically only functional until now. But little by little I'm starting to dress him up a bit tougher. Soon he will enjoy staying in his room. Good thing his PC is at my office, because otherwise I wouldn't see him at all, haha. You can also get this wooden wall decoration in, for example, black plexiglass. Or in white. Also super nice of course, but since his room already consists of black furniture, I wanted to add some contrast with natural tones.
Soon some shelves on the wall, some nice posters in a frame and plants and then his adolescent room starts to get a bit cozier. In any case, the buffalo is a good start!

Finally, I ordered some scrabble letters for the wall. Totally fun! And even though it will take another two months before I can hang them (first demolish and plaster), I couldn't resist bringing them into the house. Of course I'll show you the result when they hang, but above you can already see how this wooden wall decoration can brighten up our 'coffee corner'. even though it's still here on my beton ciré table, it already gives a good idea of how it's going to turn out. Looks cool right?
