Everyone knows that Pinterest is a fantastic medium to get great ideas when it comes to your interior. But I can also use Instagram for that these days. Because with some snooping around on Insta I came across a fantastic product; felt wall decoration for our living room. I fell in love immediately when I saw Wallfelt's wallcovering. I am happy to show you how I use these wall panels to add a piece of calming art in our living room that is also good for the acoustics.

First of all I have to say that we have now applied this wall covering in the living room, but you can of course use the wall decoration throughout your house. The hall would also look nice with us, but I would also like to make room for this in the chill area. The only requirement is that you have a piece of wall available where you can place a few of Wallfelt's wall panels.
The more felt wall panels you can store, the more fun you can vary with the colors of this wall decoration. Or almost not vary, I think that's cool too! Let me explain to you what I mean.
Wallfelt has various colors in its range. From white, black and gray tones to beautiful brown tones and very bright colors such as blue, yellow, green and red. I chose a mix of white, light gray and cappuccino brown. But I've been doubting for a long time. For example, what also seems very cool to me is an entire wall with black wall decoration in the living room or hall and then one or two bright red copies in between. That bright red really stands out, super cool.
Well, making choices is sometimes difficult, but in the first instance I only started with colors that match beautifully with our living room and kitchen. We have white walls as a basis, but I also work a lot with concrete colours, black and natural tones such as oak. For the wall decoration in the living room I therefore started from the place where they should come. There is an oak bench (heirloom from my parents). So the natural shade. On the opposite side is our black piano. I didn't want the wall with the wall decoration too dark in this case. Because the oak bench already contains the natural color, I assumed a suitable cappuccino shade for the wall decoration. That way I stayed in style, but with a small variation in it.
What I personally find so beautiful is that this wall decoration radiates tranquility for me while there is still 'life'. I think a large empty wall is just bare. And on the other hand, I don't want to have too many knick-knacks standing or hanging everywhere. In my interior I am looking for a mix of cosiness with a calm appearance. And with this wall decoration in our living room I have completely found it.
Because the wall panels are fairly large (50 cm x 50 cm), this wall clothing is a real eye-catcher and the fact that the wall decoration is made of felt also contributes to the soothing appearance.

Attaching the wall decoration is a breeze. When ordering the Wallfelt wall panels, you can also order mounting tape. You attach this double-sided mounting tape in long strips to the back of the panels (in a square, so on all sides) and you're done. Just remove the adhesive edge and you stick the wall panel to the wall.
When sticking the first felt wall panel, make sure that it is glued level. You can then easily connect the other panels to the first. Also removing it goes well without having to damage your wall. So a big plus. I already tried the latter because I still had to paint the wall myself. And soon there will probably be a new color so it's allowed again 😉 .
