This cornice board allows you to add crown molding around the top of the room and gave the cornice board the look of having been built. The cornice board should be painted the same shade as the walls, with a freehand checkered surface using a foam brush. Connect the squares with circles applied with silver paint pens (a nickel was used for a template).
Cornice boards do not have to be painted, they can be upholstered with fabric and batting or wallpapered with wallpaper or wallpaper borders.
To bring soft, diffused light into the room, add shades of pleated fabric. To tie wires out of reach, attach a drawer knob to the window casing.
