You know that rolling pin that takes up space in the drawer? The one you haven't used for baking yet? Finally, there is a new creative use for it as a printing tool.

Printing with a rolling pin is a great way to get a full organic looking print quickly. PLUS, this project is just as much fun for kids as it is for adults. You can get a different impression every time you change your stickers and try a new paint color.

Once you decide what design you want, buy foam stickers in that shape or cut your own design using adhesive craft foam. Apply them in a random pattern on the roller.

If you want your design to have more detail, use a woodcutting tool to add markings that will show up on your print. Please be careful when using this tool with children.

Using a sponge brush apply paint to the roller.

Lay out your material, such as a dish towel, start at the bottom and then slowly roll the pin up until the paint starts to lighten. Reapply additional paint and try to match up the pin where it stopped and roll again.

Allow the paint to dry and decorate with smaller sponge brushes, such as adding colorful flowers to the cactus.

When the paint has dried on the flowers, use hot glue or fabric glue to attach the edge of the pom pom to the edge of the towel.
