To create the wings, draw a 4" x 4" square on the paper side of the iron-on sticker. From one edge of the square, draw a wing shape about 11" long by 7" wide.
Cut out the wing shape, place it paper side down on another piece of adhesive and trace. Cut the second wing.
Place the wing-shaped sticker on the fleece, paper side up, and iron. Be careful not to place a hot iron directly on the fleece.
Once melted, cut along the wing shape and remove the paper. Bend the wire into the shape of the top edge of the wings and place it on top of the glitter sticker. Cut a few short pieces of wire for the "bones" of the wings.
Cover the wings with the wire in place and then another piece of fleece. Cover the fleece with an ironing cloth or a thin piece of cotton and iron until the two pieces are fused together. Cut the second layer of fleece into the existing wing shape.
Sew all the way around the edge of the wings. Then sew along the edges of the wire.
To make the harness, measure your dog around the chest, mid-back, and also around the waist. Cut the fleece in a modified H shape with the arms of H combining your dog's chest and waist measurements plus 2" (arms should be 2-1/2" wide). The center of the H should be approximately 8" wide and the length of the middle of your dog's back. For example, on a medium dog, this harness has straps that measure 23" from end to end and a center panel which measures 8" wide by 9" long.
Attach the wings to the harness by sewing a few lines across the square section of the wings.
Apply hook-and-loop tape to harness straps. Place the soft side of the tape on the bottom of the straps on the right and the hard side of the hook-and-loop tape on the top of the straps on the left.
Now fold the wings into the desired shape and adorn your dog in this spooky creation. Your pup is ready for Halloween night.
