Overlap the edges of the cone shape as indicated in gray on your pattern and hot glue along the edge.

Attach the wing piece to the cone piece by gluing the notches on the inside bottom edge of the cone.

Cut a 1" x 12-1/2" strip of green felt. You may have to cut it diagonally across a sheet of felt to get a long enough strip, or lay out two shorter pieces. Glue the strip of green felt around the bottom of the hat.

Gather a small bundle of yarn about 18" long and tie a knot at the top. Braid the yarn, tie the end with a piece of yarn, then trim the bottom even. Repeat for the second braid.
Carla Wicking
Use hot glue to attach the yarn hair to the inside of the hat on each side of the bottom brim.

Measure your dog from ear to ear and cut a piece of elastic to that measurement. Glue the elastic strap inside the hat.
Put the hat on your dog and cluck at the witch in sight!
