Cut the fabric into 13 y" x 13" squares. Press and remove all loose threads. On the right and left sides of the first piece of fabric, fold and press a 1/4" hem. Fold to the wrong side of the fabric. Fold the same edges again another 1/4" and press.
At each corner, fold the fabric so that a small triangle forms. Press well.
Create hems on the top and bottom edges, similar to the left and right. Fold over 1/4" and press.
Fold another 1/4" in again and press. This should create clean corners. Pin the hems on all sides.
Using a seam machine, starting at one corner, sew a straight stitch along the folded edge of the fabric. Start with a backstitch for a few stitches to lock the thread.
Sew all the way along the first side. When you reach a corner, make sure the needle is inserted into the fabric and raise the presser foot. Turn the fabric on the needle 90 degrees so you can sew the next side. Lower the presser foot and continue sewing. Treat all corners the same way. After all four sides are sewn, use the backstitch function one more time to lock the thread.
Cut loose threads and trim any excess. Press again.
