It has been in my head for quite some time that I want to make a nice lamp myself and with the new house in sight, that wish comes up again. On top of everything that needs to be done there of course, so the timing is not really smart of me. But I came across a number of lamps that I liked so much that I thought they might be cool to make yourself. I immediately wrote down my inspiration for a later moment. And for you of course!
Of course there are also plenty of nice lamps to order, but I always love DIY too. Especially if the projects also succeed, of course. Also nice:pimp lamps yourself. But I now have a number of wishes for lamps that I would like to make, such as hanging lamps above the dining table. I would like a large lamp here so that there is sufficient lighting above the table. A modern lamp, or an industrial look, I'm not quite sure yet. The first lamp that I show you in my inspiration below comes from Lampen24. They have a huge range of lighting, definitely worth a look. If you don't feel like making it yourself, you can buy that hanging lamp there.
I would also like a nice hanging lamp somewhere in a corner near the stove. And another nice floor lamp, especially because I've seen such cool examples of it. Check below.

Anyway, I'll start with the hanging lamp for above the dining table. Actually, it is several lamps over the entire width that are connected to one lamp by scaffolding tube. And you know… I love scaffolding tubes, as I already showed in my article about industrial kitchens, for which we have also made scaffolding tube accessories ourselves.
I think the lamp above is really cool and I don't think it is that difficult to make yourself. Scaffolding tubes are now available in several thicknesses, which is useful for this lamp. Furthermore, it is completely hip to just wrap the wires around it and so you can easily determine the heights of this lamp yourself. Whether you make a lamp yourself with 4 spots on it, or 7, that's completely up to you (or me 😉 ). If you use scaffolding tubes, you can also choose the color black, for example, if you wish.
How cool is this lamp then? First have a nice evening with friends and the day after make a lamp yourself from the empty bottle. I personally think it's fan-tas-tic! And it doesn't look very complicated. The only difficult thing seems to me to drill a hole in the glass. But with a good glass drill and the tips from this site, that should also work.
Beautiful simple lamp that you can make yourself with materials that are readily available at the hardware store. Due to its simplicity, this industrial wall lamp has a very basic look, while it is really very special.
Another great way to make a basic wall lamp is, for example, with the above solution. You can just use an existing shelf support for this, but you can of course also make it yourself. Would you rather have something on the wall that you can also put something on, then the way below is very nice. Super simple, but with a beautiful result.
Last week I showed you an idea to decorate your small kitchen. You can use the same kind of idea to make a beautiful lamp.
In this case, you use the pots as a whole as a lampshade and make an opening in the lid through which the fitting of the lamp fits. This lamp is really self-made and you can make it from ordinary storage jars to, for example, those jars that you see all of these days.
You can buy the lamp above, but it is also easy to make yourself with a little creativity. Once you have found a nice tree stump, you can make such a foot plate yourself and wrap the cord around the branch. If you prefer more contract, you can choose a cord in a different color. Light it up and you're done!
The fact that the cords of your homemade lamp come into the picture is not a problem at all these days. Letting it hang casually creates a cozy look. This way you can quickly put together a nice lamp yourself with the above ring and separate lamps.
