To make your own paint, nothing beats Blanc de Meudon .
What is that thing ? It is a kind of crushed chalk powder.
It is available in all DIY stores.
And the good news is that it can be used for painting very easily.
To do this, simply mix one volume of Blanc de Meudon with half a volume of water .
Quantities of course depend on how much paint you need, as well as its thickness.
Once you are happy with the mixture, you have made your natural white paint.
Now just grab your brush and start painting!
If you want to have colored paint, just add a colored pigment of the desired color (about €5 at Comptoir des pigments).
You do not believe in it ? Well, it's true!
You can make your own paint with food flour . Here is the recipe:
To make 1 liter of paint, you need:
- 100g wheat flour
- 1 liter water
- 200 g of pigments in the color of your choice
- 10 cl of oil linen
1. Heat a little water (10 to 20 cl), gradually adding the flour until the mixture thickens.
2. Add the rest of the water and boil for 10 min, while stirring until smooth.
3. Add linseed oil and pigments that you have chosen.
4. Heat again over low heat for 20 min.
And now everything is ready! You have made your homemade natural paint :-)
Simple, practical and fast!
You have a completely natural and very economical paint.
But the most important thing is that it does not contain any toxic product.
It does not generate indoor pollution.
It's still much better for your health, isn't it? S

In DIY and work equipment stores, pots of paint cost between €25 and €60 per litre.
It all depends on the brand, quality and color.
In other words, it's not for small budgets!
Blanc de Meudon costs around €7 for 500 g, and food flour at a maximum of €3 for 500 g.
