Sometimes my iron gets clogged due to limescale.
As a result, it irons less well.
To find a clean and efficient iron , I use white vinegar, a simple and effective grandmother's trick.
To clean the soleplate of my iron, white vinegar , this is THE solution.
It is a super anti-limestone . It is about 10 times cheaper than the branded anti-limescale products found on the market.
So, for the descaling of the iron, there is no hesitation.
White vinegar is the product you need to remove limescale.
And in addition, white vinegar is a miracle product. It's useful for lots of other everyday stuff.
So I always have it on hand at home.
Here's how I clean the sole , and also the interior , of my iron. Follow these simple steps.
1. I take my iron and I empty it if ever there is a little water left in it.
2. Then, I pour white vinegar in the empty tank.
3. I plug it in and set it to steam.
4. I press the button to spray several times.
The vinegar will dissolve the limestone stuck in the ducts of the iron and the small holes of the sole.
5. I let the iron spin so that the white vinegar evaporates.
6. Once the liquid is totally gone, I fill the tank of my iron again, but this time with water.
7. I let the liquid evaporate again, to finish cleaning my iron.
And that's it, your iron is now perfectly clean :-)
Simple, practical and effective!
