Do you have laminate or solid parquet at home?
And you wonder if you can use your expensive white vinegar to clean it?
But you are afraid that white vinegar is too aggressive for the wood?
It is true that wood is a fragile surface! So can you clean your parquet floor with white vinegar?
The answer is yes ! White vinegar is ideal for cleaning it and making it shine without the risk of damaging it.
The trick is to use a mixture of white vinegar and hot water :
Contents
- Do not use pure white vinegar on the floor, as it will damage it. Always use it diluted in water.
- Avoid hard cloths or brushes, as this will scratch the floor. Prefer a soft microfiber cloth.
- Wring out the mop well, because the parquet should not be washed with plenty of water otherwise it could swell and be damaged.
- Do not leave the white vinegar on the wood for too long. Dry quickly after cleaning with a microfiber cloth.
- 250 ml of white vinegar
- 4 liters of hot water
- push broom
- mop
- microfiber cloth
- bucket
1. Start by dusting the floor by vacuuming.

4. Wring the mop well so that it is just damp and not soaked.
5. Pass the mop over the parquet in an "S" pattern.
6. Insist on marks and stains.
7. Rinse the mop frequently, wringing it well each time.
8. Change the water if the mixture starts to get dirty.
