The small daily preparations of the Thermomix do not necessarily require a major cleaning.
A light wash is enough to keep your bowl clean and operational for future uses.
So once you're done using the Thermomix, just do this:
Put a beaker of white vinegar, a beaker of water and 4 drops of washing up liquid in the bowl.
Activate the Thermomix for 4 min at 60 degrees speed 4.
Leave the tank closed for 30 minutes then rinse.
Some preparations sometimes leave a burnt deposit at the bottom of the bowl.
This is particularly the case when food is left to cook in it for a long time.
But there too, there is a very useful little trick to make everything look good and remove the burnt.
Mix baking soda with a few drops of water until you get a paste.
Spread a thick layer of this paste at the bottom of the bowl and leave to act for 15 min.
Gently sponge over it (not with the green side!) and admire the result.
No more traces of burns are present.
The Thermomix bowl should be thoroughly washed several times a year.
To do this, we take again and again our good old white vinegar and we do this.
Pour 2 glasses of water for 1 glass of vinegar in the bowl.
Raise the temperature of the solution by setting the device to 60° and turn at speed 4 for 4 min.
Let the mixture cool, but especially without removing the bowl.
Once the solution has cooled, all you have to do is empty the bowl and rinse with clear water.
With this trick, you are sure to sanitize the inside of the container.
Curry sauce, turmeric, garlic, onion... the Thermomix bowl sees all the colors.
With use, odors may begin to set in and no longer want to leave.
But fortunately, there is a very simple trick to eliminate them.
Put half a lemon in the bowl and run the Thermomix for 9 seconds at speed 10.
Scrape the sides of the bowl to remove lemon deposits and add 400 g of water.
Rotate the Thermomix again at speed 4 by operating the varoma for 15 min.
All you have to do is rinse and smell the inside of your bowl:no smell hurts your nose anymore.
Once you have finished your food preparation, there are often food residues in the bowl.
Be careful, they must not be removed by scraping the walls.
This could seriously damage the coating of the bowl.
Instead, just pour hot water mixed with washing up liquid.
Engage the turbo 5 times in a row and you're done.
Not sure what to do with your eggshells?
Well, know that they are used for many things, including sharpening and cleaning the knife blades of the Thermomix!
The method is simple.
Pour water until it covers the propellers and add the eggshells.
Put 15 to 20 turbo shots then rinse the bowl with clear water.
If the blades are not very dirty, soapy water and a few turbo shots are enough.
Another possibility.
You can use a bottle brush or an old toothbrush to remove the encrusted residue under the teeth.
It's not just the inside of the bowl to clean on a Thermomix.
The outer parts should not be neglected either, as they easily get dirty.
Splashes, stains of all kinds.
To increase the life of the device, it is necessary to keep all the elements clean as on the 1st day.
For this, nothing better than using a cloth soaked in a little white vinegar.
Pass a blow on the walls and it becomes like new again.
It's not more complicated than that.
The practical side of the Thermomix is that all its elements are dishwasher safe.
Just one thing to know who is important.
Only parts of the thermomix after 2006 are compatible with washing in the dishwasher.
Other than that, no problem.
Everything goes in the dishwasher. Finally everything... not the basic device of course!
For the lid, the base and the whisk with the spikes, put everything in the top basket.
The knives are to be put in the cutlery basket.
As for the bowl, the varoma and the steamer basket, they should be placed in the lower basket.
As with all the other components of the Thermomix, the control screen must also be cleaned.
For him, simply equip yourself with a microfiber cloth and dampen it with a little water.
Attention, I said a little water.
Because behind this screen are the electronic components and the digital display.
Above all, you should not get moisture inside behind the buttons !
The Thermomix varoma should also be cleaned after use.
You know, it's the big steamer basket that you put over the bowl.
For him, we simply use soapy water with a soft sponge.
In any case, do not use sharp objects or metal sponges and brushes.
You could scratch the plastic of the utensil.
You have seen, to properly clean your Thermomix, you do not need to invest in expensive and chemical household products.
Hot water, washing-up liquid, white vinegar, baking soda or lemon...
That's more than enough.
Only natural and ultra-effective products to properly clean your food processor.
