Need to hang something on the wall?
An alarm, a thermostat or a shelf for example?
The problem is that you have to succeed in making the holes in the wall in the right place!
If you make a mistake, you have to redo the holes and you damage the wall for nothing...
Fortunately, there is a genius trick for making holes in the wall in the right place without using a ruler.
The trick is to use masking tape . Look, it's quite simple:
Contents
1. Stick a piece of the tape behind the object on the two notches.
2. Make two pen marks at the notches.
3. Place the spirit level on the wall and stick the tape under the spirit level.
4. After driving the 2 nails into the wall at the marks you made, remove the tape.
5. Hang the object on the two nails.
There you go, you made the holes in the right place without needing to measure :-)
Easy, fast and convenient, right?
It's still better than having to measure with a ruler...
...or worse, getting the dimensions wrong and having to redo the holes!
This special tape, called masking tape, is normally used to protect the wall when painting.
But as you can see, it's very handy for doing other stuff!
The advantage of this trick is that it works with any object you want to hang on the wall.
