Thoroughly clean the glass and frame, then allow to dry completely. Use a window with safe glass and break them into true light panels (not a snap-in piece). Make sure the caulking around the glass is secure as well.
Seal the wood pieces with the spray sealer, like a lacquer.
For chalkboard panels, use painter's tape on the inside edge of the wood next to the glass, then paint the glass with magnetic primer. Apply a second coat of magnetic primer, let it dry, and then apply a coat of chalkboard paint over it and let it dry.
Measure the window panes to be corked and then cut two pieces of cork to that size. You'll want two pieces for each panel to double the thickness.
Use construction adhesive to glue two of the cork pieces together, this will give you a thicker cork board. (Sometimes it helps to place heavy books on them while the glue dries.)
When the glue is dry, place a piece of cloth over the cork and fix it with a spray adhesive. Make sure there is enough fabric to wrap around the edges.
Measure the dry erase board the same way you did the cork and cut one piece for each panel.
Spread construction adhesive on the glass and then press the dry erase pieces and cork pieces into place. Use something heavy like books to support the pieces while they dry.
Apply a bead of clear putty along the inside edge of painted glass panels and dry erase panels to give them a finished look and help hold them in place.
