This is an easy and inexpensive way to display your favorite photos with small keepsakes and keepsakes.
Clean bottles with soap and water. If the sticker on the label doesn't come off, try using a product like Goof Off or Goo Gone. Let the bottles dry completely, inside and out. (Sometimes a paper towel stuck on top helps dry upside down.)
Pour sand and small shells into a bottle. Use a folded piece of paper to help pour in the sand, if needed.
Carefully roll up your photo (paper copies work best) and slide it into the bottle. Use the brush or pencil eraser to push the image down and try to open it up a bit. To add to the fun, write a note on a piece of paper or a brown paper bag to add to the bottle.
Find a cork or stopper that fits the bottle perfectly. Use a hot glue gun to attach a cover or favorite trinket to the top of the cork. Put the cork in the bottle and make sure it is seated correctly. To add some depth and character to the piece, wrap the top of the bottle with decorative wire, jewelry, or anything personal.
If desired, drip candle wax along the rim of the bottle cap and cork to seal the keepsakes in the bottle.
