Pick up the flowers from the florist the morning of the wedding and all it takes is five minutes to create a magnificent hand-held wedding bouquet.

Step 1

Cut to size

Bind the stems of the flowers with a thin rubber band to secure them firmly. Use scissors to cut the bottom of the stems to the desired length.

Step 2

Add plastic

Wrap the flower stems in plastic wrap for a nice soft edge all the way around, stopping about 1-1/2" from the bottom of the flowers. This is optional, but definitely adds a better finished look.

Secure the tape to the stems

Pin an edge of the ribbon to the bottom of the flowers.

Stage 4

Wrap the tape

Start wrapping the tape around the flower stems, moving the tape up as you go.

Step 5

Pin to the top

When you get to the top of the plastic wrap or where you want the tape to end. Cut the tape and fold the edge of the tape 1/4" and pin it in place.

Step 6

Add an arc

You can finish here with a nice and beautiful hand held wedding bouquet or you can add a bow. Simply tie a 24” piece of ribbon around the top edge and make a bow. Cut and finish the edges of the ribbon bow with Fray Check.
