Use paper flowers to add color and flair to gifts, clothing, and more!

Download and print heart paper, or use scrapbook paper. Use scissors to cut off the white edges of the paper and save for another step. Cut out a heart shape about 2-1/2 inches tall.
Picasa
Use the first heart shape as a guide, and continue cutting hearts out of the heart pattern paper, changing the orientation of the pattern for variety. You will need 10 to 12 hearts per flower.

Cut out a small circle about 1-3/4" to 2" in diameter (does not have to be perfect) from the heart design paper.
Picasa
Fold the point of each heart to create dimension.
Picasa
Add a tablespoon of hot glue to the cutout circle. Join the points of 5 hearts (overlapping) to the circle. Add more glue to the center of the flower and continue gluing the heart petals together until the desired look is achieved.

Create a piece of fringe by cutting one of the long strips of white paper 3/4 of the way through, keeping a solid strip to hold it together. Tightly roll up the strip of paper.
Picasa
Add a dollop of hot glue to the center of the flower and place the rolled-up white paper fringe strip on the glue. Fluff out from the fringe to create a full center.

Paper flowers can be used in many ways! Add to a gift box for an adorable embellishment; add a pin on the back to wear; or add a peg or straw to create a vertical flower.
