How to use lace to make a party hat crown

Make a lace crown for your guest of honor or for each guest at your party. Everyone feels prettier in a crown.

Step 1

Apply fabric reinforcement

Cover the lace in the fabric backing and let it dry. Depending on how much you put in, it could take a few hours or overnight. We got in the sun, which helped the process. Place wax paper underneath to protect your work surface and make cleaning easier.

Step 2

Hot glue border

Apply a line of hot glue along the edge of the crimping cord and quickly glue it down before it hardens.

Step 3

Spray paint crown

Spray paint the crown any color you like. We went with the classic gold. Any time you spray paint, be sure to do it outside.
