How to make an easy pendant light

Egg spray paint

Spray the inside of the egg half with metallic spray paint (Image 1). Let dry completely. Apply another layer, and let dry. Spray paint the outside of the egg with flat black paint (Image 2). Apply another coat, allowing drying time between coats (overnight is best).

Step 2

Trace hole

Use the light kit as a guide and trace a hole in the bottom center of the egg with a permanent marker.

Step 3

Drill a hole

Use a drill to make holes around the inside of the circle. Then connect the holes to make a larger hole using a rotary tool and blade attachment. Knock out the hole with the sanding attachment of the rotary tool.

Stage 4

Assemble light kit

Position the light kit according to the instructions on the packaging and hang.
