Don't throw away those old t-shirts. Turn them into a fun knotted rug or bath mat. No sewing skills required, you just need to know how to tie a knot!
Cut the t-shirts into long 1/2" strips.
Cut the strips into 5" pieces. No need to be specific, just do it with an eye.
Use a pointed object, like a pencil, to push one end of a strip through the holes in the bottom of the non-slip mat.
Tie the strip of fabric in a knot.
Repeat the above steps, pushing the strips through all the holes in the non-slip mat until it is completely covered. Fold in the strips for a fuller rug.
Simply glue the strips in place directly on top of the rug pad, bunching the strips on top of the glue. Put a piece of cardboard under the rug because the hot glue will seep through the holes and make a mess. Once the glue dries, run your hand over the top of the rug to remove any loose pieces.
Enjoy your new bath mat, knowing it's putting those old, poorly made t-shirts to better use.
