It's not very practical, isn't it, to have a small bathroom, especially if several people share the use of it. That's why I decided to make this water space into a large room.
Installing a bathroom in a place that is not intended for this purpose is not without complications, particularly in terms of plumbing, but especially the evacuation of water. To make sure things are done right, I gave this responsibility to a plumbing contractor.
And since this task is carried out by a professional, I can devote myself entirely to the layout of my new bathroom. Once is not custom, as I have more space than necessary, the possibilities of development are numerous. And before even thinking about my layout plan, I am already looking forward to the possibility of installing two sinks, a large bathtub, as well as an optimized storage system.
After much thought, the maritime style was essential, since the new bathroom is nestled in the attic. And concerning the selection of the floor, there was nothing to think about since from the moment I opted for this style, the parquet was obvious. My goal is to make the room look like a boat deck. An effect that will be more successful with the two portholes already installed on the roof of the attic.
I just had to determine the essence of the wood. Teak was particularly recommended to me for its great resistance to humidity and temperature variations. Big disadvantage, this exotic wood is very expensive. So I preferred bamboo. Apart from its waterproofness, it is also a very ecological and trendy material. For a good harmony of the room, the walls will also be entirely wooded, but with a local wood species, perhaps beech or cherry. But for this time, we're going to paint them white, to match them with the toilets
As the bathroom is large, the room can accommodate both a small indoor jacuzzi and a shower. For its modernity and its very refined design, I then favored an Italian shower. Only downside, to prevent water from splashing the rest of the room, the installation of a wall is necessary. But which shower screen would best match my bathroom? I had a lot of trouble choosing a particular model because there is no shortage of offers, and this without taking into account the variety of materials available on the market.
Indeed, when I decided to transfer my bathroom to the attic, I had no idea that the selection of the shower screen was going to be very complicated. Nevertheless, so that the shower and the jacuzzi can be used at the same time, the shower screens will surely be made of opaque glass.
