Once in a while we are tired of our interior, and it is time for a change. Usually we pay a lot of attention to the living room, kitchen and bedroom, but the bathroom is often skipped. That's a shame, because the bathroom is a place where we spend time every day, and it should look just as nice as the rest of the house. If you want to make your bathroom something special, consider the following tips for a makeover.
Keep it clear
There are many bathroom storage options to help you create a calm and relaxing, tidy space. In cupboards you can store all the practical things you have at hand. This leaves the sink, windowsill and washing machine free, and you can only put a few carefully selected items on it, such as a plant. While other things, such as cleaning products, are better kept in cupboards and drawers.
A coat of paint
Repainting is the cheapest and arguably the most effective way to give your bathroom a new look. A fresh coat of paint can make a world of difference by brightening up the room or adding color. Stick with white for the ceiling – it makes the room seem bigger. One thing to consider is moisture. Because mold develops easily in a bathroom and the humidity and temperature change often, it's a good idea to invest in high-quality paint.
Iinstall a glass shower door
An easy way to freshen up a drab bathroom is to install a shower door, instead of a shower curtain. Unlike a shower door, shower curtains allow water to pass through. By placing a door you create a closed shower room, which ensures that the water does not run through the entire bathroom. They are available in the most common sizes and can easily be customised. Shower doors give a clean look, open up the room and make it look attractive and expensive.
Tile the floor again
Installing new floor tiles can make a significant contribution to the appearance of the bathroom. Since the bathroom is a small space, it shouldn't cost much to retile. Porcelain and ceramic tiles are the most commonly used types of bathroom floor tiles because they require less maintenance and last longer. Tiles made of natural stone require periodic application of a maintenance wax, and glass tiles can be very slippery.
Pay attention to the small details
Even the smallest changes can have a big impact. If a full makeover isn't in your budget, swap out the little things like handles, faucet, shower head, lights, and towel rails. Or add a new lamp, quirky rug or artwork to your bathroom for a modern and stylish interior.
