The toilet is one of the rooms in the house where we also spend time. Little is said about them, but their layout should not be neglected. I took advantage of the renovation work on my house to completely redecorate the decoration of this space.
Even if we are just passing through, that is no reason not to pay attention to the layout of the toilets. After all, this room is just as important as
the bathroom and the bedroom. Designers and decorators have understood this for a long time. Yes, gone are the days when toilets were bland, boring and uninteresting. This small room is now a space in its own right in the house.
I really enjoyed decorating this room. Indeed, the toilets are customizable at will, so I was completely free to dress it according to my desires and my aspirations. And since there were no constraints, I gave free rein to my imagination and my creativity. All atmospheres and all styles of decoration are allowed, even the most eccentric. No one will blame you for that. Better, we will point out to you how original and authentic your toilets are.
At the same time as the other rooms, my toilets also benefited from the work credit I had done, in particular for the purchase of floor coverings and walls. At first, I let myself be tempted by a wallpaper for the richness of their prints and their patterns. But I changed my mind thinking that I might quickly get tired of it. And there is no question of redecorating the premises every year! In the end, I opted for a monochrome paint on all the taupe-colored walls, but in a very light tone.
Nevertheless, to break up this monotony a bit, I covered a section of the wall with a huge sticker with a Manneken Pis motif, just near the WC. The effect is magnificent. And for the floor, it is a light gray tiling in harmony with the color of the toilets. I had hesitated with linoleum which is also used a lot in this room for its ease of maintenance. At a couple of friends, they even opted for a vinyl floor.
But the funniest moment for me was selecting the WC. As my toilets had been equipped for years with a conventional model to pose, I had no idea that I would be spoiled for choice in store. And I'm not going to complain about it. I immediately fell for the wall-hung toilets for their aesthetics and their practicality, which makes it very easy to clean the floor below. The seller showed me the models with a grinder that require the installation of an electrical outlet for its operation but I did not need that since I had a normal drain.
And concerning the shape of the toilet, to change from the usual angles, I let myself be tempted by a ceramic model in the shape of an egg. For comfort, I preferred an MDF foam seat. The very contemporary decorative effect has been completed by the acquisition of some useful and decorative accessories, such as a toilet brush and a stainless steel toilet paper holder for example.
