The tulip likes the sun and a soft, well loosened soil. The roots go down about 50 cm deep. Sand, potting soil and other peat are welcome.
On the other hand no fresh manure which would cause them to rot. The bulb tray, where the roots will emerge, must be 15 cm below ground level. A space of 20 cm between the bulbs will allow the tulips to develop properly while giving a mass effect.
In case of dry winter, water plantations outside periods of frost, and especiallyduring spring flowering.
