Your garden will remain blooming in winter thanks to primroses. These flowers offer a colorful bloom while they require little maintenance. Hellebores provide good flowering from December to April. This also coincides with its other name; Christmas rose. This perennial plant can grow up to a height of 70 cm and shows flowers with five petals each. They appreciate cool soils and tolerate winter days well as long as they are mulched every year.
Pansies are flowers that bloom in winter until spring. There are 500 varieties of pansies, all of which need light soil and minimal maintenance. It is a distant family of violets, which grows approximately between 10 to 20cm.
The mimosa is a plant that does not particularly fear the cold. Moreover, it begins to bloom in February and lets flower spikes in the shape of a yellow glomerulus. It pierces the carpets of snow between November and May in order to bring out small bells, pink, red and white in winter. Heather does not freeze, however, it does not appreciate humidity and even less the sun. Ideal for growing in a balcony container due to its relatively slow growth.
