I am a succer for beautiful home accessories. I like to vary and style my house and in our current house I can have fun. So much space, so many rooms and so much to fix up 😉 . The more modern interior, interspersed with steel, white, grey, black and natural tones, is my preference at the moment. So modern in combination with boho accessories. The natural tones in particular provide some extra warmth in our house and that makes us all happy.

That's the beauty of developing your own unique style. In fact, anything is possible in an eclectic interior, as I already showed in an earlier blog about combining side tables. Now I was looking for a nice rug for the living room, matching our new PVC floor and the sturdy decor. The rug is intended for the space between the living room and dining room. I would like to make a connection there between the two spaces, without cluttering the space there. It should still feel spacious. Because the piano is also there, I was looking for a good match and I found it! At Yoshiko Home. A beautiful round jute rug in black and natural tones, perfectly matching the other boho accessories.
The black in this rug matches very well with the black piano standing there. And even though the rug is now on the other side, the match is still there.
Do you also feel that you immediately restyle when you have something new at home? I tend to make different establishments with something new. So everything first moves out of place several times and only then do I decide what it will be. Haha, here in the house they drive me crazy when I start redecorating again. It often happens that they can't find something because I put it somewhere else.
Anyway, I also tried different places with the rug and now I'm curious what you like best? Check out the different setups below.
In the first 2 photos the cloth is on the right side near the piano. I've looked here with different accessories to see what I like best. In the last photo I have placed the jute rug on the other side. This makes it a bit between living room and intermediate piece. I personally think this is the most beautiful place. My trendy living room plant (the Ficus Lyrata) also looks a bit nicer I think. What do you think?
Of course -as always- I shopped some more nice boho accessories such as the pouf that you see in the first photo that is next to the closet. The round ottoman in the foreground is an Ikea ottoman, but the square in the back is also from Yoshiko. As you can see, it's a cat favorite (just like the rug 😉 ). It is of course also a lot more comfortable to sit on because it is a bit higher.
Also outside under the roof I try to extend the cosiness inside. You get it already, that's a breeze with some nice bohemian accessories! The kuala that I still have inside below has now been given a place outside. With the hanging chair that comes with the Xenos, the wooden stool, the wicker basket, the bamboo light source on the floor and the palm leaves I already have a lot of accessories that fit within the boho style. What I like about these kinds of accessories is that they immediately create a certain atmosphere, but also that you can easily put them somewhere else. This way you can always redesign with the same accessories.
Only the black boho lamp that remains 'fixed' under the canopy.
I don't always take the trouble to draw attention to the background of a webshop, but at Yoshiko Home I would like to go into that. Not only because I like the boho accessories so much, but also the story behind it is good. The founder of this brand has a background in fashion. In that capacity she has seen many abuses abroad and with her own home label she would like to give something back to the children in the slums in Bangladesh.
The items you will find at this webshop are handmade from natural materials such as sea grass. This material can be found in abundance in this country, so that the local population can earn something in a fair way by making baskets and other boho accessories. Because Lisa herself is often on site, Yoshiko keeps a good overview of the observance of the standards and values that are so important to Yoshiko. Respect for nature and for fellow human beings.
