It all started with the purchase of my house, 6 years ago. Previously, I had only been a tenant. Needless to say, I frankly didn't care about upkeep; of course a little decoration, but nothing maddening either.
So 6 years ago, I fell in love with what seemed to me to be a very healthy house, no apparent defects, on the other hand a decoration / painting / wallpapers to be redone from floor to ceiling!
Between the first visit and the signature, approximately 3 months will have passed. I remember going back to visit it only once between the compromise and the final signature. It was just to get a clear idea of the work to be done, but enough to start dreaming of my "home sweet home"!
As soon as the signature at the notary was done, I was already at home, in a completely empty house, both happy and anxious about what was to be done!
Overall, no big surprises. I hesitated to redo the frames, but once there and looked in detail, it really had to be done, especially since at the time, there was a tax reduction for this kind of work.
And of course, as expected, all the paintings had to be redone. Given the scale of the project, I called in a professional, reserving the wallpaper and a few small odds and ends for myself.
A few weeks later, I was able to move in with the great joy of being able to invest myself in the decoration that I wanted, holes everywhere if I wanted to… still it was necessary to rationalize a little all the ideas that I had in mind. head.
Then and in short, it is while living in the house that we realize some "flaws" and other malignant leaks. We arrive very quickly in the interview of a thousand and one little things. I must admit that I had a little underestimated this part, both in terms of time and … money!
During all this period, I learned a lot, read blogs, reviews … appealed to the experience of those who had already been there. And so I, too, wanted to share all this in the form of a blog.
6 years to set up a blog, I must admit that I took the time, but here it is, and you have it in front of you. See you very soon then …
