10 Tips to Quickly Eliminate Paint Smells in the House.

When you paint a few walls in the house, the smells stay everywhere .

These odors are toxic and it is important not to breathe them in for too long.

Here are 10 tips for quickly eliminating paint odors in the house.

10 Tips to Quickly Eliminate Paint Smells in the House.

1. Open windows

Airing is of course the first reflex to have. If you can, even ventilate as soon as you paint (if it's not too cold, of course).

The odors thus fly away much more quickly and, in addition, your paint dries more quickly.

2. Fans

If you don't have a window, or not enough, don't hesitate to turn on a fan or two.

They also allow faster drying and evacuation of paint odors.

3. Bicarbonate

All over the freshly painted room, place small cups or ramekins of baking soda.

Bicarbonate is known to absorb odors, as in the kitchen for example.

4. Salt

If you have no baking soda on hand, do the same operation, but with salt.

It also absorbs odors naturally.

5. Hot milk

Milk also absorbs odours. For example, you may already know this tip for fridges.

Well, if you place bowls of warm milk all over the newly painted room, it absorbs odors quickly.

6. An onion

Onion, too, is an effective odor absorber. Just peel it, cut it in 4 and place each piece in a corner of the room.

7. Coffee grounds

Save your coffee grounds. It is used for many things.

Here, pour it into ramekins or soup plates, which you place all over the room.

Not only does the coffee grounds absorb odors, but it also diffuses a rather pleasant one.

8. The crumb of bread

The crumb of bread does not only absorb the milk in the morning at breakfast;). It also absorbs odours.

A little everywhere in the room just painted, place pieces of bread crumbs.

9. Water and onions

Instead of arranging the onions directly in the four corners of the room, you can cut them into rings and put them in glasses of water.

Water and onions effectively neutralize odours.

10. Lemon

Lemon acts a bit like coffee grounds. It absorbs a stubborn odor, diffusing a more pleasant one at the same time.

Place bowls of very hot water with 1-2 tablespoons of lemon juice in the freshly painted room.

And There you go ! Say goodbye to paint smells in the house :-)
