Did you know that lavender has excellent properties against sunburn ?
This ultra-refreshing, soothing and easy-to-prepare lavender spray will be a powerful ally for the coming summer.
This spray was not invented by me (I would have liked it so much) but since I was able to test it during an organic cosmetics workshop, I take it everywhere with me... just in case. where.
It is very easy to "make". In a 250mL spray bottle that I recovered from an old used product and then sanitized and sterilized afterwards, I fill it with spring water and then add 5 drops of lavender essential oil (no more, no less).
And now, as soon as I feel that I have abused the sun a little too much, I wave my love of lavender spray, pschitt pschitt and aaaahhhhh feeling of freshness! And besides, it smells so good!
We already know that lavender has multiple benefits for our daily ailments. I use the essential oil particularly in my case to sleep better and relieve my fevers or headaches.
But this spray also has the good idea of reducing our too pronounced redness after taking a good sunbath. It calms and soothes them while giving me a real feeling of freshness.
And never mind, it also has the power to be invigorating if you remember to keep your little beloved vaporizer in the fridge every night.
Aloe vera gel also has excellent soothing and nourishing properties. If you mix 5ml with 5 drops of lavender essential oil, it will become an excellent soothing after-sun gel! Treat yourself.
I often pass for an urluberlu with my practices but in general, I spread a little yogurt on the part of my body on fire and then I stick slices of cucumber on top. I don't know if it has real mitigating virtues but in any case, it soothes, hydrates and refreshes downright well.
Do not hesitate to test if you have a bottle of lavender essential oil at the bottom of your first aid kit. And don't hesitate to leave a comment on your experimentation :) I wish you a good summer in perspective!
The after-sun sprays or lotions sold on the market are in my opinion full of additives and if they relieve a sunburn (and even then I'm not so sure), they will cause us something else one day or the other.
Moreover, we never finish the lotion at the end of the summer and in general, we don't dare to reuse the lotion the following summer, so we buy a tube again.
In short, it will cost you nothing to experiment with this after-sun spray since its price does not exceed 20 euro cents. It's tempting, isn't it? And €5 minimum saving for the summer it is not negligible either.
