No, your old newspapers aren't just good for making fires Of wood ! They can also protect you against bad smells in the house. Here's how.
As an apprentice journalist, I read a lot of newspapers. That goes without saying. The World, Liberation, The Chained Duck and even 20 Minutes, I collect them in my bag and in my apartment all the time. Result:my beautiful stained parquet is covered with newspaper.
But recently, I learned a trick to give newsprint a second life:make it an odor channeller.
A bit of Newsprint and Say Goodbye to Smells!
Newsprint, married to the smell of ink, is indeed a great way to kill odors.
So I use it in all the places likely to smell bad:cupboards, fridges, cat litter... By covering all the walls with newspaper, you get rid of any unsightly smell . I know, it may seem weird to put old newspapers in your fridge, but it's above all ultra efficient.
It's so effective, by the way, that I also put it in my shoes when I'm not wearing them. I leave the newspaper there overnight or more and the effect is drastic:zero odor the next morning. If I don't smell good, my shoes don't smell bad.
Once again, thank you print media!
And you ? What techniques would you recommend for getting rid of odors? I await your advice in the comments.
