It's not always easy, if not impossible, to grow vegetables and herbs without a garden or Terrace. With my grandfather's simple empty toolbox, I nevertheless created my mini apartment vegetable garden.
In the hope of passing on his passion for DIY to me, my grandfather recently gave me his very first toolbox. Bet won, the virus was transmitted, and I kept the tools to make their container an unexpected use:an apartment vegetable garden.
By opening the fold-out toolbox from my grandfather, I was immediately struck by the ingenuity and practicality of this well-known object. Four compartments which telescope, offering as many exhibitions as possible storage. Moreover, the tools it could contain were not useful to me as it is so easy to give it a second life.
After a brief cleaning of the checkout, I give it a small coat of paint that matches the decor of my interior and gives it a new lease of life. This done I just fill with compost the 5 compartments in tiers and I plant mint and basil in them. Placed under the window of my kitchen sufficiently well exposed, the good old toolbox will soon provide me with my fresh mint "from the garden".
