Rising fuel prices are growing, but my wallet suffers a lot less since I plan a limited amount each time I go to the gas pump.
Here's how I save.
The idea is to set a money threshold not to be exceeded when calculating your usual weekly route.
Me, I set myself 20€ of gasoline per week!
As I must not exceed my budget, I know I have to pay a little more attention to my fuel consumption by trying to drive more economically.
Conversely, if I fill up as soon as the tank is completely empty, I think less about saving my gasoline because I go to the station less often.
In addition, I pay less attention to my journeys since I have plenty of fuel left.
When you go to the gas station more often, you really realize the amount spent, which is what allows you to set up a restricted budget for its consumption.
It's stupid, but if you see your tank emptying more often, there's a good chance that your conscience is more active than usual;-).
Before, I was more used to filling up when the tank was dry:and I admit that it really hurt me to have to spend 50€ all at once!
By setting a weekly budget limited by the sum and therefore by the quantity, I put up barriers that activate my consciousness.
I manage to spend less because I say to myself:"hey, I already have to go to the gas station, yet I went there a short time ago. I'm going to have to take it easy until at the end of the week".
You see, that's where my conscience comes in, and that's when I really pay attention to my gas budget. And in the end, my wallet hurts a lot less, I assure you!
And you, what are you doing to consume less fuel? Tell me everything, I promise I'll tell everyone;-)
