Is it possible to wash all your laundry without detergent?

And even for laundry, it works miracles.
Why ? Because it neutralizes bad smells, whitens and stains .
All without detergent.
To use it for hand washing, pour 200 g of baking soda into a 4 liter tub of lukewarm water.
Leave to soak for at least 2 hours, ideally overnight. Then rinse with clean water.
If the laundry has a greasy stain or a yellow halo, dampen the fabric and sprinkle with baking soda.
Then, rub vigorously, leave on for 15 minutes and rinse.
This is probably the best known technique and one of the oldest.
The washing balls are put directly in the machine.
We choose the usual washing program.
And thanks to the action of the drum, they beat the clothes to get the dirt out.
But there is better!
They contain bioceramic microbeads which have an effect on the pH of the water.
They wash and degrease without soap.
With a set of balls, you can do up to 3 years of washing.
Not bad, right?
For lightly soiled laundry, a simple wash in hot water may suffice .
It removes dirt and above all it tightens the fibers of the fabrics.
Very often, we are just looking for that by putting the laundry in the washing machine.
Are you missing a good clean smell?
No problem.
Add a few drops of lavender fragrance to the drum.
If you have a fireplace, you will be able to reuse wood ashes.
Did you know that it can turn into organic detergent?
With just a little ash and water, it's ready. Here is my easy recipe.
The ashes contain surfactants that degrease and wash fabrics .
But be careful not to use it on fragile materials such as silk or wool.
This is what our grandmothers used:a simple natural soap.
Lather on linen, scrub and rinse.
For machine washing, just grate the soap into shavings . The equivalent of 3 tablespoons is sufficient for lightly soiled laundry.
Be careful to choose a Marseille soap without glycerin to avoid having a greasy veil on the fabric.
What if lye grew in your garden?
Climbing ivy contains saponin which cleans fabrics like natural soap.
Plus, it's super easy to make and doesn't cost a penny. The recipe is super simple.

Horse chestnuts can also be transformed into natural detergent, because chestnuts also contain saponin.
Again, it's super easy to make with this recipe.
It's liquid, so easy to dose and pour into the detergent drawer.
And at least no allergies!
It is an odorless product. So you can perfume it with a fragrance of your choice.
Like baking soda, white vinegar is one of the essential natural products.
It disinfects, cleans and deodorizes. But in addition, it softens the fibers and replaces the fabric softener.

Soapwort is a large flower with pink petals .
It is very easily found in nature in summer.
But what interests us here are its roots.
They are the ones that contain the saponin.
Take some roots, put them in a pot of water and boil. Then turn off the heat and leave to macerate.
Pour this natural detergent into the machine.
But beware, it is not suitable for white laundry.
