Not only are they super easy to make, but they also leave your dishes sparkling clean!
Plus, they save you time and money. Without forgetting that we know precisely their composition! Watch:
- 200 g baking soda
- 50 g of citric acid
- 15 ml of dish soap
- 2 silicone ice cube trays
- 1 airtight jar
- 1 container
1. Put the baking soda in a large container.
2. Add citric acid.
3. Pour in the washing-up liquid.
4. Mix well using a whisk or mix by hand.
5. Put the mixture in the silicone ice cube trays and pack the powder well.
6. Wait about 10 minutes and level them with your fingers.
7. Let sit for at least 4 hours or better, overnight. The tablets will become hard like those bought at the store.
8. Turn your molds over and unmold them.
There you go, your homemade dishwasher tablets are already ready :-)
Simple, practical and economical! You don't even have to go to the supermarket at Aldi, Lidl or Carrefour to get cheap dishwasher tablets.
Do you want my opinion on these inexpensive ecological tablets?
They are just as effective as those from brands such as Apta, Una, Rainette, W5 or Arbre Vert.
And you know their composition:100% natural!
Plus, using your DIY tablets is super simple. Only one tablet is enough per wash.
Place them directly in your dishwasher and run a normal wash cycle. Easy, right?
Remember to store them in an airtight container and keep them dry until ready to use.
- I used two different molds so I could use all my mixture. But if you make less, one mold is enough.
- The shelves tend to expand a little, but much less than the old ones I made. Once you've evened them out, they won't expand much.
- You can also mix the powders either with a whisk or by hand like I do. I find it's even easier to mix well like this.
