1. Marseille soap

If the blood stain is fresh, just wet it with cold water and clean it with Marseille soap. Rub the stain with the block of Marseille soap. Let it act for a few minutes. Scrub again with a toothbrush in circular motions. And finally, rinse well with cold water.

Why does it work? Composed of natural vegetable oils, water, sea salt and soda, Marseille soap is an excellent natural stain remover and there are few stains that resist it. Scrubbing with a brush allows the soap to penetrate well into the fibers to dissolve the stains.

2. Lemon

Another effective solution, if you do not have Marseille soap on hand, is lemon. Squeeze a lemon and pour the juice over the stain. Leave on for 5 to 10 minutes then rinse with cold water.

Why does it work? Lemon is naturally very acidic. The acidity of the lemon dissolves the blood stain in no time.

3. Soda ash

If the stain persists, don't panic! You have to use sodium percarbonate to get rid of it. This technique is particularly effective for blood stains on white linen (sheets, tea towels, etc.) and light-coloured fabrics.

To do this, start by wetting the stain with cold water. Put a teaspoon of percarbonate on the stain. And let it act for 30 minutes. Then proceed to wash your fabric as usual.

If your laundry is really dirty and stained, then mix 1 to 2 tablespoons of percarbonate of soda per liter of cold water in a basin. Immerse your laundry in the mixture and scrub the stains vigorously with a brush. Then let it soak for 30 minutes and machine wash it as usual.

Why does it work? Sodium percarbonate is a powerful product for cleaning organic stains like blood because it releases active oxygen when it comes into contact with water.

4. Hydrogen peroxide

This trick works great for removing stubborn blood stains, especially for white fabrics and linens. Simply wet the stain with hydrogen peroxide and then rinse with cold water.

Why does it work? Hydrogen peroxide is a bleaching solution. It has the power to whiten and discolor the fiber of fabrics.

Result

There you go, now you know how to remove a blood stain from clothing, sheets, jeans, mattresses or any other item of clothing :-)

Easy, fast and efficient, right?

You don't even need to buy a stain remover or go to the dry cleaner!

It is still more practical and economical. Not to mention that it's 100% natural!

Precautions

Remember that blood should never be cleaned with hot water!

Why ? Because because of the hot water, the blood coagulates and soaks into the tissue. It then becomes very difficult to remove it...

Be aware that hydrogen peroxide is not recommended for delicate fabrics, as it could damage them.

By the way, don't forget:for light or dark colored fabrics, do a test on an inconspicuous part of your fabric.
