Well yes! Come on, I'll show you. Here are my 7 tips for getting rid of blood stains on white clothes . Watch:
The first thing to do, especially if the stain is still fresh, is to brush it.
How? 'Or' What ? Easy!
A simple dry toothbrush can do the trick.
It removes excess blood and possible clots.
I said cold water!
And especially not hot or lukewarm water.
Why ? Because it causes the blood to clot, which becomes even more embedded in the fibers of the fabric.
So immediately run the stain under cold water and scrub gently with your fingers or a brush.
This simple action may be enough to remove a small fresh stain.
The worst thing is to discover a dry blood stain on a piece of clothing.
We tell ourselves that we will never be able to get rid of it.
Well, good news.... Yes!
To manage a dried blood stain, Marseille soap is your best friend.
Rub the soap directly on the stain, leave to act and rinse.
If necessary, wash in the washing machine, cold, with a homemade detergent with Marseille soap.
It is ideal for removing a blood stain from a duvet, mattress or carpet.
Marseille soap is even at the top to reduce an already washed blood stain.
Hydrogen peroxide is super effective in removing a blood stain without leaving marks or halos.
Make a mixture of water and hydrogen peroxide half / half.
Impregnate the stain with this solution and let it foam.
Be careful not to let the foam spread everywhere. Once the product has acted, rinse with clear water.
Repeat as needed to completely remove the stain, especially if it is on a sofa.
Be careful though, hydrogen peroxide can damage fragile fabrics such as silk for example.
To properly whiten the fabric afterwards, a tablespoon of percarbonate in the machine is a good idea.
As soon as you stain your white t-shirt, act immediately.
Jump on your salt shaker and sprinkle the stain with salt!
This prevents blood from soaking into the fibers of the fabric.
Leave to act on the stain, then dab it with a cold damp sponge.
Machine wash cold with salt water.
I use this method on my sheets and even my underwear.
Hey no, toothpaste isn't just for teeth!
It is used for many other things and in particular to remove encrusted stains on a white garment.
Apply a layer of toothpaste to the blood stain.
Leave on for about 15 minutes and rinse with cold water.
Repeat the operation several times to get rid of the stain.
If you have stained a dark fabric, baking soda is recommended to remove even a dry blood stain.
Just make a paste with water and baking soda, then spread it on the stain, leaving it to act for 30 minutes.
Then rinse with clean water and machine wash as usual.
What I have in this technique is that it does not damage the colors like hydrogen peroxide for example.
Really ideal on jeans or a suit!
